Everyone freaks out and wonders how this happened. They are all scared now and afraid to go to sleep. They eventually all go to sleep and lock their doors without hesitation. When they wake up they realize Mrs. Rogers died in her sleep after passing out the night before. They start putting the pieces to the puzzle together. The nursery rhyme is fitting their stories too well. As theyrealize that they also see that the china dolls are disappearing as they die. When the breakfast rings they all go in to eat. They soon realize the boat isn't coming and it's never going to. They are going to be stuck on the island forever.
Now all of them are angry, confused, scared, etc. They are talking of them being lies. They find a room in drawing room that had the gramophone with the record of their indictments. They began to wonder who played it. It was Mr. Rogers; he was ordered to play it by Mr. Owen by letter. He explains all of that to them. They all talk about everything and began to think Mr. Owen doesn't exist and if he does he is a mad man. They all think about everything and realize the boat is supposed to come back in the morning and are ready to leave. Anthony Marston tells them they should stay to try and figure everything out. As he is telling them that he chokes on his drink and dies. It was poisoned drink.
Now that they have a had a great dinner, they all go to the drawing room. They are talking and drinking, and then something strange happens. They had heard a voice without warning, inhuman, penetrating from a gramophone saying they were charged with the following indictments. It said all ten of them had committed uncovered murders. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers react differently then everyone else. As if their secret has been spilled. the supposed Mr. Davis was an imposter. He was really William Blore who was sent to watch them. Also when they were eating dinner they counted ten china figures like the old nursery rhyme Vera had seen earlier on the table.
After getting there and settling they see everything there is really nice. All there luggage was unpacked by two servants they meet named Mr. and Mrs. Rogers. Vera Claythorne notices something a little strange about on the female servant. It seems as though she very frightened or in Ms. Claythorne's words, "scared of her own shadow." Claythorne learns a few things about the servants. She learns that the female is a good cook and he male is pretty hady around the house. Also that they have never seen Mr. Owen. He has given them all their orders through letters. Soon they will all be meeting up for dinner.
In chapter 2 everyone is basically arriving at this island. They see this very nice house. This is the house that they are going to be staying in. They all meet each other and meet their boat guide who will be taking them there. They all have been invited to this island for different reasons by a Mr. Owen.
